Advertising inside a shopping center is not the same process as buying digital ads or a billboard. Inventory is negotiated center by center, production is format-specific, and lead times matter.
This is the full process, in the order it actually happens.
Step 1: Define the audience and trade area
Start with where your customers already are. Every mall has a trade area, and the right center is the one whose shoppers overlap with the people you want. Bring us your target ZIP codes, customer profile, or store locations and we will match centers to them.
Step 2: Choose the centers
Center selection balances traffic volume, shopper demographics, competitive presence, and availability. Fewer centers with more presence usually beats broad, thin coverage.
Step 3: Pick formats that fit the message
Match format to what you need the shopper to do.
- Awareness at scale: banners, sky banners, exterior spectaculars
- Repeated exposure: backlits and column wraps along the path
- Captive attention: escalator wraps and food court media
- Flexible messaging: digital displays and kiosks
- Point of sale: standees at the retail partner's entrance
Step 4: Confirm availability and lock the flight
Inventory is finite and holiday windows commit early. Once units are confirmed, the flight dates and rate are set in the contract.
Step 5: Produce and install
We supply the spec sheet for each unit, review your artwork for legibility and center compliance, manage printing, and coordinate installation and removal. Static formats need roughly two to three weeks from artwork approval to live.
Step 6: Verify and measure
After installation we provide photo verification of every unit. For measurement, use unique landing pages, scan codes, promo codes, or store-level lift against a control market.
